Georgina Antwi, a 15-year-old girl schooling at Ankaful basic school near Cape Coast, was allegedly killed by suspected “Sakawa” boys in the community in cold blood.
The murder of the young girl occurred last Friday, January 17, according to the father of the latter, while the victim, when she was whisked off and subsequently murdered was on a bush road to the Akotokyir school.
Some Ankaful residents discovered his lifeless body in the early hours of Saturday and alerted the police afterwards.
The deceased’s body was deposited with autopsy and recovery at the Cape Coast Lehra Hospital.
Police investigations subsequently led to the arrest of two young men suspected of masterminding the killing for investigational assistance.
They reportedly mentioned a third person that the police are currently seeking public assistance in apprehending him.
Mr.Mintah called upon the police to ensure that the perpetrators of this horrible crime were brought into the book. Mr.Mintah describes his daughter as respectful, educated and decent who did not play in her education.
The Ankaful Chief, Nana Abura Sankoma, was shocked by the increase in crime in the city during an interview with the media.
But the traditional authorities and the security agencies work to get rid of the social misconceptions which terrorize innocent people in the area.
In the meantime, police sources have told the Ghana News Agency in Cape Coast that the police have intensified their investigations.
