The stage is set for the quarter-finals of the 2019/2020 edition of the Nana Sir Ofori-Atta I National Energy Quiz.
The quarterfinals will take place in the Oyoko Methodist Methodist Senior High School on Wednesday, January 22 and Thursday, January 23, 2020.
At the next point of the competition, 18 Senior High Schools must participate in 6 competitions.
Three schools will participate in each of the 6 events in order to maintain their hope to win the title.
The nine champions in the quarter-finals will be vying at the semi-final stage in the Grand Final for a spot.
The contest starts on Wednesday and will be preceded by a close rivalry with Pope John SHS locking corns with Aburi SHTS and Yilo Krobo SHS, while in the second contest it will be contested by Saviour SHS, Oda SHS and Asamankese SHS.
In the las semi-finals,the scores were settled and the quarter-final paired results were finished in St. Peters SHS, Nkawkaw SHS and Ofori Panyin SHS.
The competition begins with a battle for the first contest for dominance on Thursday with the Nkwatia Presby SHS, St. Francis SHTS and Bepong SHS, while Osino SHTS, Larteh SHS and The Oyoko Methodist SHS combat it in day two.
Adeiso Presby SHS, Anum Presby SHS and New Nsutam SHTS are fighting it for the last semi-final slot.
The Ghana Oil Company Limited, Ghana Grid Company Limited, The Energy Commission, the Maritime Authority of Ghana, and the Petroleum Commission sponsors the Nana Sir Ofori-Atta I National Energy Quiz.
Eastern Star Awards Company Limited was collectively responsible for the annual competition conducted under the auspices of Nananom of the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs. Based in collaboration and organized by Ghana Education Service and the Ministry of Energy and by the Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS).
