The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Prof. Aaron Michael Oquaye has urged students to aspire to the highest academic laurels by embracing the Free Senior High Education Policy as “this has given opportunities to all students to have access to education, especially needy but brilliant students”, he posited.

Prof. Oquaye was speaking to winners of the Oratory Debate organized by DeeDee Global, a group that organizes debates and other academic programmes for students in second cycle institutions. Mr. Speaker stressed the need for students to speak good English and to articulate and conceptualize their thoughts in an orderly manner for effective communication.

He further encouraged organisers of the debate to develop more thematic areas of the program to help bring out more excellence in students.

The winning schools are Achimota School as Overall Winners, Mfantspim School and Pope John Senior High School as First and Second runner-ups respectfully.
