Bekwai: Court Sentences Man to 7 years Imprisonment for Biting a Student’s Clitoris


The Bekwai Circuit Court has sentenced a 27 years old excavator operator for seven years imprisonment for defiling a 15-year-old student Manso Yawkrom in the Amansie West District of Ashanti Region..

The culprit by named Derrick Amponsah reportedly bit the victim’s clitoris in the cause of the act which led the student was left bleeding profusely from her genitals

A medical report revealed the young girl’s hymen had completely been broken.

The Prosecutor explained the whole case, “At about 11 a.m. on April 15, 2020, the 27 years old excavator operator called the victims on phone to go and do laundry for him at home. As Mr Amponsah returned at about 1 p.m. to see the dirty clothes unwashed.

He went to the the girl’s house to call her but she refused to follow him but Amponsah managed to get the girl to follow him to his house.As they got to his house, he asked the girl to take the lead into his room but she rejected.

Mr Amponsah dragged her inside, pushed her onto the bed and forcefully had sexual intercouse with her. Amponsah used his fingers, penis and mouth to abuse the young innocent girl.

Amponsah’s mother later showed up and provided water for the victim to clean herself”.

Derrick Amponsah was arrested following a report and he later admitted the offense in his caution statement to police.He was arraigned and pleaded guilty to two counts of assault and defilement.

Both acts breach Sections 84 and 101 respectively the of Criminal Offences Act, Act 29 of 960.

The court chaired over by Her Lordship, Joyce Boahen convicted him on his own plea.
