A delegation from the University of Ghana Alumni Association has met the the Vice-Chancellor of the Institution, Prof. Ebenezer Oduro Owusu to update him on projects the Association is embarking on to provide support for the University.
In partnership with Stanbic Bank, and the Institutional Advancement Office (IAO), Mr. Felix Addo, the Association’s Committee Chairman for Finance led the team to meet the Vice-Chancellor.
Congratulating him on the extension of his office as the Vice-Chancellor for the University, Mr Addo relayed the Association’s appreciation to Prof. Oduro Owusu for his unflinching support towards the activities of the group.
He added that in a bid to fund for projects undertaken by UGAA, Stanbic Bank will assist persons who wish to donate through their digital banking platforms.
Moreover, Manager, Client Access at Stanbic Bank, Mr. Ebenezer Mac-Acquaye, reckoned that the financial institution will also partner UGAA in other developmental areas.
The Vice-Chancellor for the University of Ghana, Professor Ebenezer Oduro Owusu,m commended the UGAA, IAO and Stanbic Bank for the selfless effort in making the University a better place.
He stated that the University needs a strong partnership of the Alumni to operate financially.
Present at the meeting were Professor Robert Ebo Hinson, Acting Director, IAO, Mr. Isaac Nketia Sarpong, General Secretary, UGAA; Mr. Nana Kow Dadson, Stanbic Bank, Mrs. Anna Amporful, Ex-officio member, UGAA and a host of other dignitaries.
