CoronavirusUpdates: Primetime Ltd postpones 2020 NSMQ Regional Championship

In wake of the directive given by President Akufo-Addo for all public gatherings to be suspended, Primetime Limited, the organisers of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) have postponed the 2020 NSMQ Regional Championships.

According to a statement issued by the management of Primetime Limited, they have agreed to postpone the NSMQ 2020 Ashanti Regional and Bono-Ahafo and Volta-Oti Zonal Championships “for the benefit of participating schools and fans.”

Primetime Limited also assured the schools and fans that they will “keep them informed of further developments in due course.”

The statement also spelt out some measures that people should abide by, to protect themselves.

POSTPONEMENT OF NSMQ 2020 REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus, the Management of Primetime Limited announces, for the benefit of participating schools and fans, the postponement of the NSMQ 2020 Ashanti Regional and Bono-Ahafo and Volta-Oti Zonal Championships until further notice.

We regret any inconvenience this may have caused. We shall keep you informed of further developments in due course.

We remind all and sundry to remember to protect ourselves in the following ways:
1. Wash our hands frequently and use alcohol-based sanitisers where washing hands is not possible.
2. Refrain from touching your face, eyes, nose and mouth.
3.Cough/sneeze into the inside of your elbow.
4. Avoid shaking of hands.
5. Keep a distance of about one metre from a person with fever, cough, sneezing and difficulty in breathing.
6. Drink lots of water and be physically active, eat healthily, avoid stress and have enough sleep.
