Final Year students in Senior High Schools(SHSs) will be reporting to their various schools today to begin studies ahead of their final year examinations.
Also going back to school are the Gold Track students who have to complete their semester
This is after all Senior High Schools in the country have been fumigated and the necessary safety protocols have been put in place to help fight the disease.
According to the President of Ghana, wearing of facemasks is mandatory for teaching and non-teaching staff and students.
Each class is supposed to contain not more than 25 students.
Meanwhile, students who hitherto were day students will become automatic boarding students and parents are not expected to visit their wards till they leave school.
In order to prevent the spreading of the disease, government has barred all kinds of sporting activities on the campuses of these schools.
The President in his twelfth address to the people of Ghana on measures put in place to fight the deadly pandemic said government has absorbed WASSCE fees of all final year students in order to ease the burden of their parents who may have suffered from repercussions of COVID-19.
