Coronavirus as a pandemic has become the world’s greatest enemy as many countries have suffered in its hands as it kills without considering the status or pedigree of anyone it attacks and Ghana as a country has been attacked by this deadly virus for just five months now and it seems to been getting out of hand.
Due to this, the President of the Republic of Ghana with the help of W.H.O came up with some precautionary measures which may help reduce it’s spread and risk and so far it has been working smoothly.
This new development in place, the country now seems safe for all other activities and institutions which were shut down because of this virus to bounce back and start work.
This being good news for the country, the President of Ghana Nana Addo Danquah instructed the reopening of schools for only the final year students across the length and breadth of the country to go back and study so that they can write their final exam and go back to their various homes.
After the reopening of schools, Students reported to their various School, and upon entering into the school premises students passes through all the precautionary measure put in place by the president for the protection and safety of kids but some students in the diverse schools have still come into contact with this deadly COVID19 Virus and this had brought more tension into the atmosphere as people don’t know whether to go for their children or just leave them in these schools since the children may bring it home if they sent back.
But as it struts now, 8 highly respected schools in the country have been sidelined for having most COVID 19 pandemic cases.
Here are the few lists of schools which are now in deep danger due to having a high number of COVID 19 Cases in descending order.
1. Adisadel College at Cape Coast just a few weeks that school has been opened has in total recorded 13 COVID Cases.
Adisadel College, popularly known as “ADISCO“, is an Anglican boys’ boarding school in Cape Coast, Ghana. Key aspects of the school’s leadership and Curtis were originally formed on the English public school structure during the colonial era.
The current curriculum drops within the Senior High School system in Ghana, with broad supervision by the Ghana Education Service.
2. Mfantsiman Girls SHS at salt pond also has in their possession 13 confirmed COVID Cases.
Mfantsiman Girls’ Secondary School is an all-girls second cycle institution in Saltpond in the Central Region of Ghana which was founded in 1960 by Kwame Nkrumah as Saltpond Girls’ Secondary School.
3. Apam Senior High School as at now has 7 Cases of COVID 19
Apam Senior High School is a co-educational senior high school at Apam in the Gomoa West District of the Central Region of Ghana.
4. Ada Senior High Technical School also has 7 cases of COVID 19
Ada Senior High Technical School is a Public and Mixed Senior High School which was established in 1794 in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.
5. Accra Girls SHS in the Greater Accra Region has recorded 6 Cases.
Accra Girls Senior High School is an all-female second cycle institution in Accra in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. and operates as a non-denominational day and boarding school.
6. Mfantsipim Boys at Cape Coast just in a month has recorded 4 confirmed Cases.
Mfantsipim is an all-boys boarding secondary school in Cape Coast, Ghana, established by the Methodist Church in 1876 to foster intellectual, moral, and spiritual growth on the then Gold Coast.
7. Aggrey Memorial, Cape Coast has also in few weeks confirmed 3 COVID Cases.
Aggrey Memorial A.M.E. Zion senior high School is a publicly supported Coeducational senior high school in Cape Coast, Ghana.
