Boa Amponsem SHS at Dunkwa-Offin in the Upper Denkyira East Municipality of the Central Region has been raided by fire.
The fire started around 2 pm when classes were in session. It took the intervention of the Upper Denkyira Municipal fire service command to bring the fire under control. But by the time the fire was quenched by the fire officers all belongings of the students have been consumed by the fire.
Students numbering three hundred (300) are now stranded and the school has to provide temporal accommodation for the students. In an interview with the Headmistress of the school, Madam Grace Anapong, her outfit is now appealing to the Government, NGO’s, stakeholders and old students to come to their aid.
Meanwhile, the cause of the fire is not yet known as the investigation has commenced unearthing the cause of the fire.
