Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC), Jean Mensa has called on ‘every Ghanaian’ to ignore any comments and unverified information claiming of any irregularities in the 2020 elections. According to her, such activities could be consequential to the peace currently being enjoyed in Ghana.

“We entreat you to ignore some of the speculations and allegations that are going out..The peace of this country should be paramount,” she stated. Jean Mensah made this call during a press conference, apologizing for the delay in declaring the Presidential election results yesterday, as promised.

She went on to explain that, the reason for her delay in declaring the winner of the presidential polls was to receive collation results from some two remaining regions.
