GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR BACHELOR OF TECHNOLOGY PROGRAMME
Holders of Higher National Diploma in a specified field obtained from accredited/recognized institutions with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division
Holders of Higher National Diploma in a particular field transferring from similar programmes run at accredited/recognized institutions with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division should have a one (1) year working experience.
Holders of University Diploma certificates from accredited Universities and Professional Diploma certificates are eligible to apply
Other qualifications that are equivalent to Higher National Diploma, Construction Technicians Certificate III & II), (CTC III (New)), CTC II (Old). Mechanical Engineering Technician III (MET III), Electrical Engineering Technician III (EET III), Advance Diploma among others).
Diploma In Public Administration (DPA)
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR DIPLOMA IN PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION
Five (5) SSSCE/WASSCE passes (Including English Language and Mathematics) or
Five (5) GCE O-Level passes (Including English Language and Mathematics) or
Five (5) GBCE (RSA II) passes (Including English Language and Mathematics) or
Mature Applicants must be twenty-five (25) years old and must show proof of age with a birth certificate or any legitimate documentary proof of date of birth which is five (5) years old at the time of application. And must pass a written test in English Language, Mathematics and General Knowledge to be conducted by the Koforidua Technical University.
Higher National Diploma (HND)
GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR HND PROGRAMMES
SSSCE/WASSCE APPLICANTS
SSSCE Candidates: Passes (A-D) in three (3) core subjects namely English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science/Social Studies; and must possess a minimum of D in any three (3) of the passes relevant to the area of specialization.
WASSCE Candidates: Passes (A-D7) in three (3) core subjects namely English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science/Social Studies; and must possess a minimum of C6 in any three (3) of the passes relevant to the area of specialization.
Alternatively, SSSCE/WASSCE Applicants with passes (A-D)/(A1-C6) in three core subjects namely English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science/Social Studies; and a minimum of D/C6 in any two (2) of the passes relevant to the area of specialization are eligible to apply.
GBCE/ ‘O’/A’LEVEL/ABCE APPLICANTS
Five (5) GBCE /GCE‘O’-Level credit passes (including English Language and Mathematics) plus at least two (2) GCE ‘A’ Level/ABCE passes excluding General Paper.
APPLICANTS FROM TECHNICAL SCHOOLS (CERTIFICATE II APPLICANTS)
Applicants must have passed in three (3) subjects including English Language and Mathematics and Integrated Science plus three (3) relevant elective subjects/trade courses.
DBS APPLICANTS
Four (4) SSSCE/WASSCE passes including English and Mathematics plus at least three (3) passes in relevant DBS subjects.
TEACHER’S CERTIFICATE.
Applicant must have Three-Year Post-Secondary Certificate or Four Year Certificate ‘A’ with a minimum of two (2) years teaching experience, plus three (3) GCE O-Level or SSSCE/WASSCE passes in relevant elective subjects.
MATURE APPLICANTS
Applicants must be twenty-five (25) years old at the time of application and must show proof of age with a birth certificate or any legitimate documentary proof of date of birth which should be five (5) years old at the time of application.
Must pass a written test in English Language, Mathematics and General Knowledge to be conducted by Koforidua Technical University.
Mature applicants’ class and entrance examinations have been scheduled as follows:
- Classes: July 4, 5, 11 &12, 2020
- Entrance Examinations: Saturday, July 19, 2020
The class and entrance examinations would be held at Koforidua Technical University main campus. Please come along with birth certificates. Deadline for mature applications is July 3, 2020.

Pre-HND/Access Programme
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have a minimum of Craft Course. Or
Applicants must have MET I, MVT I and EET I or it’s equivalent. Or
Applicants should have a minimum qualification of Intermediate or Craft Certificate or its equivalent from a recognized examinations body. With regards to Hospitality Management, applicants must have Cookery 812/2.

Ghanaian Applicants for HND and Non-HND programmes are to make a payment of One Hundred and Fifty Ghana Cedis (GH¢150.00) and B’Tech applicants are to make a payment of One Hundred and Sixty Ghana Cedis (GH₵160.00) for the Koforidua Technical University On-line Serial Numbers (OSN) E-Vouchers at Koforidua Technical University Campus – Cash Office or at any Republic Bank, Agricultural Development Bank (ADB), Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB), Universal Merchant Bank, Prudential Bank, Fidelity Bank branches throughout the country.
