Before the primaries, an Aspirant in the New Patriotic Party (NPP), in the Nkawkaw Constituency in the Eastern region Darfour Eric Kwakye has denied bathing naked in the four corners of the Constituency as directed by his spiritualist.
There were reports that the incumbent Member of Parliament(MP) who doubles as the Eastern Regional Minister was prevented by the youth in Banka and Danteng from bathing naked at the four corners of the Constituency.
But speaking to Accra-based Angel FM monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Dufour Eric Kwakye denied the claims being peddled across the constituency.
According to him, this is a serious allegation that needs to be investigated and the right actions are taken because it is a dent on his reputation.
“Who told you that? I need to know the leaders of the group peddling this falsehood. This cannot be condoned. This is a dent on my image and I will not accept it.”
The Regional Minister said he was headed for the communities where the allegations have been made to curse persons peddling these falsehood.
“From here, I’m going to the community where the allegations have been made and openly curse persons who have made these allegations. Why am I mad? Then they should say I’m walking naked on the streets here. The area where these allegations are coming from is the hometown of one of the aspirants so I’m not shocked.”
On whether people are dolling out cash, the Regional Minister said he is not aware but for him he gave out transportation to delegates in order to facilitate their movement from their homes to the polling stations.
