NSMQ 2020 Contingent undergo COVID-19 Testing ahead of National Championship
To ensure the health and safety of all parties involved in the NSMQ, Primetime Limited – producer of the NSMQ – has put measures in place in adherence to COVID-19 protocols.
At the end of 40 Preliminary Stage contests that took place across the country, the stage is set for the One-eighth Stage of the competition which will begin on Monday, September 28, 2020. As the 81 schools converge in Accra, Primetime is committed to ensuring the health and safety of all parties involved, having put in place measures in adherence to COVID-19 protocols.
One such measure is the mandatory testing of all students, teachers and the NSMQ production team, which is currently being rolled out ahead of the contests.

On Tuesday, September 22, 2020, 27 seeded schools, as well as qualified schools from the Northern Zone, Bono-Ahafo Zone, Greater Accra Region, and the team from Primetime underwent COVID-19 testing.

In addition to the testing, Primetime has provided contestants and their teachers with Vitamin C and Zinc tablets as part of measures to boost the immune system of the participants. Students will continue to receive KN 95 face masks during contests to ensure that the appropriate mask is being used.
Primetime is organizing the tests under the auspices of the Ghana Health Service and Noguchi Memorial Institute. A team of health personnel from the University of Ghana Medical Centre will be on location to attend to all emergencies and ensure a safe and incident-free environment.
