NSMQ 2020: GOIL commits to Platinum Sponsorship of Quiz; introduces GOIL Riddle Bonanaza

For the fourth consecutive year, GOIL has committed to sponsor the National Science and Maths Quiz (NMSQ). As part of the platinum sponsorship, GOIL will support the NSMQ from the preliminary to the final stage.

The company is also introducing the GOIL Riddle Bonanaza that involves the Quiz Mistress posing four riddles to competing schools. A competing school will win a cash prize for either answering three (out of four) or all four riddles correctly. Cash prizes would also go to each of the three contestants and their teacher, making four beneficiaries per team.

 At the launch of the event, the Head of Corporate Affairs of GOIL, Marcus Deo Dake also announced that, as the official fuel Partner, GOIL will provide fuel to shuttle qualifying
schools from the one-eighth stage to the finals and fuel for primetime for the production of
the competition in the zones and regions.

This is in addition to GOIL’s One Year Fuel Sponsorship of the Main quiz mistress.

And will continue to provide fuel support for the three other Quiz mistresses and the five
consultants who have continuously provided enormous support for the competition.

 The Managing Director of PRIMETIME, Nana Akua Ankomah- Asare, noted that in a bid to
limit the spread of covid-19 virus and to reduce the risk of exposure of the participating students, NSMQ 2020 will be produced with a different format which has been approved by
the Ghana Education Service’’.

The competition will be streamed live across all social media handles, from the preliminaries
up to the grand finale.

The 108 regional qualifiers will compete among themselves in their
respective zones to select representatives for the next stage of the competition. This year, the
satellite events of the Science festival have been suspended but the mentorship sessions will
come off on virtual platforms.
