WAEC to conduct 2020 WASSCE in August - Education Ministry

The Minister for Education, Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh on behalf of the Government of Ghana (GoG) has said the conduct of 2020 WASSCE for school candidates would start in August this year.

The Minister addressing the press on Tuesday said the form 3 students in Senior high schools are to resume school for 6 weeks of studies after which they will sit for 2020 WASSCE probably in August.

NAPO said the Senior High School final year students will be in school for academic works and revision for 6 weeks then sit for the Ghana exams that will take five weeks.

The Minister said the government has consulted the Ghana office of WAEC to set questions for only Ghanaian students since other countries in the sub-regions are still battling the pandemic.

The Member of Parliament for Manhyia Constituency stated that when school begins classes will commence at 9am and ends at 1pm each day for SHS final year students.

The President in his 10th televised address to the citizenry announced for the reopening of schools for only final year students to prepare for theforthcoming 2020 WASSCE for school candidates.
