‘Official WASSCE 2020 Timetable to be Released Soon’ – WAEC assures Candidates

According to the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC), it will within the course of this week release the official 2020 WASSCE timetable for school candidates preparing to write the examination in August this year.

The Head of School Examination at the Ghana office of the West Africa Examination Council, Mr. Godfred Addo in a zoom interview monitored by SHSTRENDZ.COM said the 2020 WASSCE timetable will be out this week, he specified that either Monday or Tuesday of this week.

He added that the forthcoming 2020 WASSCE for school candidates will start in the month of August and ends in the first week of September, 2020.

He furthered that all the WASSCE question papers are ready and safe with a 24-hour security guard, assuring that there will be no leakages of questions this year as effective measures to ensure a clean conduct of the exams have been put in place ahead, during and after the WASSCE.

Meanwhile, the Council has proactively extended the registration period of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private Candidates, 2020 to August 31, 2020.

The registration period was expected to end June 30, 2020, but due to the global pandemic, it has been extended to a more suitable date.

WAEC says its decision to extend the registration date is amid the effect of the global COVID-19 pandemic on the examination calendar of the Council.
