Osei Adutwum SHS gets 18-Unit Classroom Block to end Double Track System
The Akufo-Addo led government as part of efforts to enhance and make education accessible by every Ghanaian child has constructed an 18 unit classroom block and dining hall in Osei Adutwum SHS in the Bosomtwe District in Ashanti Region.
The facility is under President Akufo-Addo’s Free SHS program aimed at affording every Ghanaian child accessibility, equality and opportunity in Education.
The newly constructed 18 unit classroom block and the dining hall in Osei Adutwum SHS are to ensure there are facilities available to phase out the double-track system.
According to the government, construction of similar facilities is ongoing in various Senior high schools across the country to ease the burden on institutions and gradually phase out the double-track system.
The Free SHS is a policy of the government of Ghana, started in September 2017 for every child in Ghana who qualifies for, and is placed in a public Senior High School for his secondary education to have his/her fees absorbed by the government.
