Osei Kyeretwie SHS (OKESS) wins Ashanti Regional Planet Broadway Drama Festival 2020
The Ashanti Regional edition of the Planet Broadway Drama Festival took place at the Opoku Ware Senior High School in Santasi, a suburb of Kumasi on Saturday 15th February 2020.
The event featured 6 schools in the region namely; St. Louis SHS, Opoku Ware Senior High School, Fodua Community SHS, Osei Kyeretwie Senior High School, Serwaa Nyarko Girls SHS and Nuru Ameen Senior High school
Osei Kyeretwie Senior High School (OKESS) came first with a very outstanding performance, followed by Opoku Ware Senior High School(OWASS), the host of the event and finally Fodua Community SHS placing third in the competition.
The event was organized by Heritage of Africa with sponsors being: Planet Drinks Ghana (main sponsor), Mcberry Biscuit, Verna Mineral Drinking Water with an endorsement from the Ministry of Education and partnership from The National Commission on Culture, The Arts and Culture Company.
Media partners were Effect Media and High School Trendz(shstrendz.com).
There were hilarious cultural music and dance performance from student groups, clubs and participating schools who were present at the event.
The Planet Broadway Drama Festival which is organized annually since its inception has mentored students with innovative ideas and talents on its platforms through competitions, theatre performances, workshops and exchange programs.
