Photos: Ghana Prisons Service holds Pull-Out Ceremony in Honour of Greater Accra Regional Commander

SPO. 261 Deputy Director of Prisons Florence Asantewaa Appiah was ceremoniously pulled out after more than three decades of dedicated service, in accordance with the tradition of the Ghana Prisons Service.
The memorable and colourful pull-out was held at the Prison Officers Training School.

As a member of the 92nd recruit course and cadet course Intake 11, she rose through the ranks to occupy some key positions including the Officer-in charge of Gender, the Officer-in charge of the Senior Correctional Centre and Greater Accra Regional Commander of the Prisons Service.

The ceremony which was characterised by strict adherence to all COVID-19 safety protocols was graced by several dignitaries including Hon. Gifty Afenyi Dadzie, the Prisons Directorate , Regional Commanders of the Service, Senior o officers from sister security agencies and other women organizations.

DDP. Asantewaa Appiah was honoured with a citation and a plaque by the Prisons Administration in recognition of selfless and exemplary public service to mother Ghana.

She was also showered with several parting gifts from the National Prison Ladies Association, Greater Accra Regional Prison Ladies Association, the Greater Accra Regional Command, the Senior Correctional Centre and personal gifts from some members of the Prisons Directorate, senior officers, friends and loved ones.
