Professor El Anatsui Gives Back To College of Art and Built Environment (CABE)

Professor El Anatsui, a globally distinguished artist and an alumnus of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), has donated books worth One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000) to the College of Art and Built Environment (CABE). Professor Anatsui earned his BA (Art) Degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in Art Education from KNUST.

As a globally distinguished artist, he has his works in numerous major public and private collections including the Bill and Melinda Gate’s Foundation, Washington; Museum of Modern Art New York; Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; British Museum.

Dr. Edwin Bodjawah, who presented the books on behalf of Professor Anatsui, said the donation was made in consultation with the lecturers of the College who indicated the exact books CABE needed to enhance teaching, learning and research by both staff and students.

Receiving the books, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kwasi Obiri-Danso, thanked Professor Anatsui for reaching out to CABE and the University. He promised on behalf of Management, to create a book section titled “Prof. E.L Anatsui’s Corner’ at the University’s Library and put the books into good use.
