[Sad News] :Top Ghanaian CEO dies of Corona Virus.
The Novel Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) was declared a pandemic by the world health organization on 11 March, 2020 and has continued to spread and caused havoc to many countries Across the world irrespective of Economic state of the countries.
Ghana recorded its first two cases of the virus on 12th March, 2020 and the number has been increasing since then with 6 deaths. One of the biggest harm that corona virus has caused Ghana is the demise of the 41 years old Ghanaian icon and entreprenur Samuel Bediako Waterberg.
Samuel Bediako Waterberg passed away on 27th March 2020 following his return from the Luxembourg after participating in the CATAPULT: Inclusion Africa 2020 event held at the Luxembourg House of Financial Technology between 1st and 8th March.
Samuel Waterberg with no reported underlying health condition fell ill and diagnosed of Corona Virus shortly after his return to Ghana and subsequently passed away on 27th March.

Samuel Bediako Warerberg was the Chief Executive officer CEO and Co-founder of the Peoples Pensions Trust, an innovative pension fund, focused on providing pension products for farmers, traders, small-scale enterprises, and people working within the informal economy.
He had spent about 22 years of his life in the Netherlands where he worked in the Rabobank in Netherlands for 7 years as a Relationship Manager Corporate Client, responsible for medium-large companies and institutions. In 2011, Samuel returned to Ghana to set up the Diagnostic Centre (a health care company) in Accra and became General Manager. Diagnostic Centre (DCL) has become a market leader in its high-end technology sector, under the leadership of Samuel.
DCL has received several awards for operational excellence, quality assurance and leadership. Samuel has a master’s degree in Strategic Management from the University of Tilburg, the Netherlands, and a bachelor’s degree in Marketing. He is a banker by profession. He was also the president of Maxim Nyansa Foundation.
Tribute and Burial
Since the shocking incident samuel family and loved ones has been hit by a surprise. Hundreds of emotional tributes began to pour in almost immediately in reaction to the shocking news.
The Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (LHoFT) has described Mr. Waterberg as an exceptional leader, amazing soul and a great human being.
A fund named GoFundMe has been setup to support the family of the deceased.The campaign has so far raised €1,595 out of the goal of €5,000.
Dutch Embassy in Ghana has since requested to move his remains from the Ga East Municipal Hospital to a private mortuary facility but the request has been dishonored by the minister for health.
