School Re-opens today for SHS 2 Students after 2020 Election

For all second-year students in all senior high schools (SHSs) across the country, the one-week partial academic break that started last Friday, December 4, 2020, ended today, Tuesday, December 8, 2020.

In a statement sighted by SHSTRENDZ.COM, the management of the Ghana Education Service instructed the head of schools to break SHS 2 Students effective December 4 for those who are 18 years of age and above to vote on December 7, 2020.

The Ghana Education Service suggested that schools will be reopened on the day after the 2020 general election, which is today, Tuesday, December 8, 2020, when the academic break closes on Friday 4 December.

However, as previously stated by His Excellency Akufo-Addo, it said prospective students would return to school on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, to continue with academic activities and leave on December 14, 2020.

In view of the above, the Service Management invites teachers, parents and students to take note that schools have been reopened and that academic work will begin tomorrow, 9 December 2020, until 14 December 2020.
