UENR releases Official Academic Calendar for 2020/2021 Academic Year


University of energy and natural resources situated in Sunyani is the only University in Ghana poised to train minds to undertake prudent management of natural resources in the country.

We kissed the joy of school activities to Covid-19 when President Akuffo Addo ordered for a closure of school from Creche to Tertiary.

This was done in an attempt to curb the spread of Coronavirus in schools. In much anticipation to resume normal routine school activities for the offing academic year, the University of Energy and Natural Resources will have it students smiling as it has today released its official academic calendar for the 2020/2021 school year.

Re-sit and supplementary exams is scheduled to commence on Monday January 4th, 2021

First semester will last for 14 weeks while the second semester will be quite longer than the later, thus 16 weeks.

Fresh students will also report to school on Friday January 22, 2021.

However, there hasn’t been any communication with respect to accommodation of freshers.

This year’s admission of prospective applicants into various halls of residence might see a different arrangement if the President of the Republic insist on social distance.

It maybe recalled that the Ministry of Education announced for the re-opening of schools in January so the need for tertiary institutions to relay their academic calendar so that students will prepare ahead of the academic year.
