UEW Management Appreciation to Staff and Students for bringing the Second Semester to a Logical Conclusion

Deans/Directors/Heads of Department/Coordinators/Examination Officers/SRC/GRASAG
The University Management wishes to extend its sincere appreciation and gratitude to staff and students and the UEW-LMS Monitoring and Evaluation Committee (ULMEC) for the immense support they provided that ensured a successful conduct of the end-of-second-semester examinations as well as the roll out of the second semester online teaching and learning activities which began on Monday, 23rd March, 2020 and ended successfully on Sunday July 5, 2020.
COVID-19 and its disruptive nature, especially on global academic activities, rather brought out the best in UEW staff and students and we must all share in the joy and pride of bringing the second semester to a successful logical conclusion.
Management highly commends the ULMEC, staff and students for accepting the challenge posed by COVID-19 and agreeing to move all academic activities to online platforms in line with government directive and the positive approach with which they embraced the new medium.
Management also acknowledges the innovative approaches Lecturers utilised to make the entire online teaching and learning enterprise interesting, effective and hugely successful.
While commending staff and Lecturers for the excellent role they played to bringing the second semester to a logical conclusion, we also wish to remind everyone of the supplementary and res-sit examinations that will be rolled out from 6th – 22nd July, 2020.
We encourage everyone to support the exercise with the same energy and high level of commitment that characterised the conduct of the earlier online examinations.
Thank you.
