Acting Director of the Office of Institutional Advancement, University of Ghana, Professor Ebo Hinson has presented books to the Balme Library.
The donation, according to Prof. Hinson, is in fulfillment of the Office’s commitment to give books to the Library in every first week of August every year, ahead of the start of another academic year.
At a brief ceremony to present the books on Friday, August 7, 2020, Prof. Ebo Hinson explained that the presentation of the books was necessary as the University has planned to become a research-intensive one by 2024.
He added that the University’s 2024 Strategic Plan cannot be achieved if its library is not stocked with the necessary books to aid students in their research work.
Receiving the books, Reference Librarian at the Balme Library, Prof. Perpetual Dadzi expressed gratitude to the Office of Institutional Advancement of the University for the gesture.
She pledged to make the books accessible to students as well as patrons of the library.
