UG: Korle-Bu General Assembly extends JCR President’s term in office
The General Assembly of the University of Ghana Medical Students Association has extended the term of the Junior Common Room President, Christian Philip Armah for another twelve months in office.
His tenure in office was due to expire on July 1, 2020.
His extension was agreed at an emergency meeting held by the local house of parliament.

The article IX clause (C) of the constitution states that: the executive board shall hold for one (1)year, beginning on the midnight of 30th day of the month of June unless the following circumstances prevail;
a.Disruption of Academic Calendar
b. If any class is not in session prior to the voting of a new executive board
c. As deemed fit by the General Assembly
Clause (C) added that members of a dissolved Executive board shall not be eligible for re-election to any office and no member shall be an executive officer for more than two (2) executive years.
He further expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve the interest of students.
