UG: Pro Vice-Chancellor visits University Basic School after reopening for final years [Photos]
University of Ghana Pro Vice-Chancellor in charge of Students and Academic Affairs, Professor Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, on Tuesday, July 7, paid a visit to the University of Ghana Basic School.

The visit was to observe the school’s level of compliance to the safety protocols outlined by the government for the reopening of Junior High Schools for final year students to prepare for their exit examinations.

In a Twitter post after he visit, Prof. Amfo remarked that she witnessed excellent COVID-19 preventive practices in the school.

The University of Ghana Basic School, like other Junior High Schools in the country, reopened on 29th June as directed by President Akufo-Addo.
According to the President, the decision to reopen schools was taken in consultation with teacher unions.
Ahead of the reopening, the premises of the school was fumigated to ensure that the environment was safe for the return of students.
Also, students and staff of the school have received nose masks.
