Returning Officers at the Korle-Bu campus and Jean Nelson polling stations have respectively extended the time for the closing of polls.

This follows the late start of polls at these polling centres.

Polls were scheduled to commence at 8am but for several reasons, including misunderstanding among the polling agents of some candidates, polls started at 10am at both Korle-bu and Jean Nelson.

Polls will now end at 5:30pm instead of the scheduled 5pm.

Our reporters indicate that electorates continue to troop in to exercise their franchise.

Presidential candidate, Isaac Agyemang, who has already established a lead ahead of his competitor, Anthony Julius, has been spotted at the Jean Nelson Aka hall polling station.
