University of Ghana (UG) succesfully ends 2020/2021 admissions into Full-time Programmes
The University of Ghana has officially ended admission into its full-time programmes for the 2020/2021 academic year. Admission into the University’s Distance Learning Programme is, however, still ongoing.
“…the process for admitting applicants into full-time programmes at the University of Ghana for the 2020/2021 academic year has ended with effect from today, January 15, 2021,” a notice from the Academic Affairs Directorate of the University reads.
University of Ghana begun accepting applications into its undergraduate programmes from January 10, 2020, to November 30, 2020. The exact number of prospective students who applied is yet to be made available but the figure is estimated to be over 50,000.
It is also unclear the number of applicants who were successful in their application. Newly admitted students into the university are preparing for the start of academic activities on Monday, January 18, 2021. A virtual orientation ceremony has already been organized for them.
Their matriculation ceremony has been scheduled for Saturday, February 6, 2021. According to the academic calendar, these newly admitted students will write their first major University of Ghana exams from Saturday, March 6 to Sunday, March 21, 2021.
