Warzone and Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 Reloaded, Update Release Time, Patch Notes, MP| Games | entertainment
Call of Duty fans are counting down to the release of the Season 2 Reloaded Update. Adding new content, countless gameplay tweaks, and bug fixes, Season 2 Reloaded will be available across Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 2 at 4pm BST on March 15th. PlayStation users can preload the patch before launch, while Xbox users and PC users will be able to download the update closer to its 4pm launch time.
Activision explains further: “The reloaded Season 2 will see the release of an all-new Core Multiplayer map, a Camo Challenge Event, a new functional weapon, and more free content across both games.”
Arguably the highlight of the reloaded update is the launch of an all-new base multiplayer map for Modern Warfare 2.
The Himmelmatt Expo map is a 6v6 battle arena located on a European mountainside, where players will fight between restaurants, bars and snowy streets.
Wander through the snow-covered streets, past the saunas and pool, and go for a drink – or better yet, enjoy a powerful view – in the restaurant and bar.
“Head to the Main Events Center to shake off the chill and heat of the fights that take place across the hall, balcony and in the indoor stage below.”
Raid Episode 02 will also appear in the Season 2 Reloaded, as Captain Price, Farah, and Gaz march through Atomgrad in search of a deadly warhead.
Completing the raid unlocks the “Bad Boonie” operator skin for Captain Price, which can be used across Warzone and Modern Warfare 2.
Other features include new Path of the Ronin camos, the introduction of the Tempus Torrent Marksman rifle, and free Warzone giveaways to celebrate the game’s third anniversary.
Then there’s the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles version of the Shredder skin, which is available as part of the Tracer Pack in the store.
To celebrate the release of the new season, Activision has announced plans to make the multiplayer component of Modern Warfare 2 free-for-all from March 16th through March 20th. That’s eight modes across six maps, including the newly released Himmelmatt Expo battlefield.
