The attention of the West African Examinations Council has been drawn to recent advertisements by some remedial and “virtual” schools promising to register candidates for WASSCE for School Candidates.

We would like to state categorically that the WASSCE for School Candidates is made available to only students who are in recognized public/private schools and have gone through 3 years of senior high school education.  This examination has a 30% continuous assessment component.

Persons who register through these remedial/virtual schools do so at their own risk as the Council will match the data of all candidates who are registered for the WASSCE for School Candidates, 2020 with existing information in its database.

Candidates who are not bona fide students of recognized public/private senior high schools are regarded as unqualified candidates and will have their registration nullified.
