A two-storey classroom block at Yendi Senior High School has been handed over by the government to authorities to host more students in subsequent years. The GHC130,000.00 12-classroom block is expected to help reduce the congestion faced by the school due to rising student numbers. The school’s total enrollment is 786, made up of 424 boys and 362 girls.

Mr. Hussein Abdul-Karim, Chairman of the Yendi Assembly, who obtained the project keys on behalf of Alhaji Hammed Abubakari Yussuf, the Municipal Chief Executive of Yendi (MCE), commended the government for the project.

He said apart from the project funded by GETFUND, an eight-room dormitory of the school was also completed and was in use. He said the 12-unit abandoned classroom block was also completed and declared that the Ghana National Petroleum Company (GNPC) was constructing another six classroom blocks for the school.
