Zoomlion Ghana Limited Disinfects University for Development Studies – UDS, Tamale.
Following the President of Ghana’s directive on the disinfection and fumigation of all tertiary institutions in Ghana for resumption of academic activities, the Government in partnership with Us led by the Regional Manager of the Northern Region (Zoomlion Ghana Limited)
Mr. Peter Dawuni has disinfected the premises and facilities of University for Development Studies – UDS including Nyankpala and City Campus.
According to Mr. Dawuni, the disinfection exercise would be extended to the Upper West and Upper East Campuses.
Reacting to the briefing by Mr. Peter Dawuni, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Ing. Prof. Felix K. Abagale commended Zoomlion Ghana Limited for its recent Corporate Social Responsibility gesture regarding a free disinfection exercise at UDS.
Ing. Prof. Felix K. Agabale expressed his excitement about the swift mobilization of resources by Zoomlion Ghana Limited to disinfect his school amidst the tall list of schools to be disinfected.
Assuring students of UDS a safer academic environment, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor touched on some efforts being made by management to augment the ongoing disinfection exercise by providing each lecture hall and hall of residence hand sanitizers, hand washing facilities among others. He also revealed that the government of Ghana is giving each student a three reusable face masks in support of the fight against the spread of COVID-19.
Bringing his address to a close, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of UDS; Ing. Prof. Felix K. Abagale admonished the general public and students of University of Development Studies to keenly adhere to the pragmatic measures and COVID-19 protocols so the virus can be eradicated to the barest minimum.
